Nationa Super Alliance (NASA) CEO, Norman Nyaga, dismissed media reports that they had changed the venue for their swearing-in ceremony scheduled for January 30, 2018.
Nyaga’s latest statements however, contradict a tweet posted earlier that has since been deleted.
The ceremony which is aimed to make Raila Odinga the people’s president and his ODM-Kenya counterpart, Kalonzo Musyoka, the deputy was planned to take place at Uhuru Park which has since been booked by two other organizations for use on the same day.
The two groups are Nairobi Business Community (NBC) and a church. This has been confirmed by Nairobi County government.
NBC has booked the space with plans to hold a medical camp to provide free circumcision services to street children. The church is , well, for conducting worship services.
NASA still holds their statement that Raila Odinga must be sworn in, despite a stern warning from the government. They even went a head to urge people to turn up in large numbers at their second People’s Assembly meeting in the coast region on Sunday, January 21.
