Forty Six members of parliament terming themselves as Tangaza Msimamo fronted by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala from the NASA coalition have stressed the fact that the swearing event scheduled at the end of this month must take place. They have further signed an affidavit supporting Raila and Kalonzo. They seem to be targeting a vast number of law makers to stress that they mean this.
In the affidavit, members of the national assembly and senators are expected to acknowledge that they understood the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and fully supported the establishment of the People’s Assemblies, the ascension and recognition of Raila and Kalonzo as the president and deputy of the People’s Republic of Kenya.
They strongly disagree with the fact that Kenyatta is the current president of the country terming the results of the repeat elections as non existent since they never participated. There have been many controversies in the highest seat in the nation in regard to the presidency and elections.
Many Kenyans seem to be tired with the current situations because of the hard effect to the economy. In the CBD region alone, some businesses are still suffering the after effects of the longest political unrest which now seems to be taking a new turn. NASA MPs still insist that the swearing in must take place despite several efforts by concerned bodies to end this unrest.
NASA leaders had postponed the swearing that was scheduled on Jamhuri day since Kalonzo was in Germany attending his sick wife.
The event seems to be lit due to much stress by the coalition leaders to the supporters and the fact of non recognition of the current president amid calls for dialogue.
